Artist Statement
When reading a story, watching a movie, or listening to music, my imagination comes to life in a kaleidoscope of images that ultimately morph into my own story. When this happens I become spellbound, I have to get it out of my system and bring the story to life. This is what my art is all about, a story coming to life that provokes thought and imagination. I incorporate my passion for horses or other animals; as well as my love for literature, history, mythology, and pop culture, and create various creations sporting a variety of elements and media.
Meet The Artist
About Christine Wicht
Hello! My name is Christine Wicht. I’m an equestrian and artist who is an avid lover of mythology and ancient history. I caught the artist bug at a very young age and I would spend hours sprawled out on my grandma’s carpet drawing and crafting till my neck started to hurt while watching endless hours of Disney movies and Animal Planet documentaries. After being exposed to shows such as “Tutenstein” and “The Book of Virtues” I slowly began to develop a taste for anthropology and archaeology. It wasn’t long afterwards that I also started my first riding lessons.
